Alice's Bio
Hi, I'm Alice! I grew up in Iowa and Nebraska and I currently reside in Omaha with my wonderful husband and two crazy corgis. I've always been an avid reader; my current favorite genre is YA Fantasy but I'll pretty much read anything that looks interesting and won't make me cry (especially if it has a fantasy/paranormal twist). I only started writing about three years ago but I've already fallen in love with storytelling. I won NaNoWriMo in 2011 and I've been polishing that manuscript ever since, plus trying to write some new adventures! I currently work as an accountant (my 'big girl' job) but would love to write full-time someday.
Beckie's Bio
My first story came to me when I spotted a dead-end road in the middle of the desert on I-15 between Baker, CA and Los Vegas. The five sisters who were cursed by Indian magic began talking to me when I saw the road and didn’t stop until I wrote their story four months later.
My second story came to life when I saw the home of some creepy human-like dancing bears. William Beard painted their forest. While I looked at it, a forest witch, grief stricken hero and princess stood behind me, whispering their story.
I’ve also met a kidnapped fairie and her capture after looking at the House Divided print by Nene Thomas. Two sisters fighting over the Miller’s son told me that there was more to their story than the old bluegrass song I was listening to, giving life to another story. And something so tragic happened to a young woman in The House of Spikes from Jonas De Ro on DeviantArt that I gasped out loud when I saw the image. Her story might be the one I tell next.
Unlike so many other writers, I haven’t always known I wanted to write. A consuming love for reading has been present since I was little but the writing bug only bit two years ago. I walk around like a giggling, crazy lady after writing a scene or character that comes out of nowhere and declares itself on the page. It makes me that happy.
Creating stories and characters aren’t the only things that make my mind spin with possibilities. Drawing hobbit alphabets, painting on people, taking pictures of my kids, anything really that’s creative or odd will do the trick.
My reality comes from a full time job with computers, six brilliant kids, a spoiled Pomeranian, a rescued cat and a husband who showed me happy endings are possible after all.
Chelsea's Bio
Hi, I’m Chelsea. Just your average twenty-three year old, I like to think. I’m an avid reader of mostly the YA fantasy. I love music the way some people love breathing. And I write. Other things that might be useful to know are: works at Walmart, stricken with a case of wanderlust, a bit shy, played violin, still lives at home, excited by the little things, has a car named Phil, is a nerd, and loves the internet. I’ve run out of things to write, because I don’t really like writing about myself. If you need to know more, like what kind of soup is my favorite or what I do on Friday nights, just ask.
PS. Outback’s Creamy Onion Soup is my favorite, and Friday nights I read, write, and piddle around on the internet. Sometimes I’ll watch a movie.
